Kabataan Partylist is the first and only youth representative in Congress. It advances the basic rights of youth and the Filipino people for accessible education, decent living condition and bright future. It believes that the youth should dedicate its talent, intellect and skills in building a society free from corruption, inequality and other social injustices.

One of the issues Kabataan Party-list has been promoting since its founding is the promotion of medical assistance to indigenous peoples.

III. PROJECT RATIONALE

The indigenous peoples or the so-called “national minorities” account for about 15 percent of the Philippine population. And most of them cannot afford medical care if not for the fact that they have excessive health care costs.

Lack of medical facilities is one of the reasons why indigenous people have health care problems; Income and lack of access to medical facilities are the 2 main reasons for the said problem. Kabataan Party list are exerting efforts to give them health care assistance which they need the most in cooperation with different organizations.

IV. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The medical mission aims to:
  1. Promote health care assistance
  2. Provide medical coverage to elderly, children’s, people with specific medical conditions and requirements, and less income individuals and families.

V. PROJECT DETAILS

Medical Mission has already been set at Brgy. Old Capitol Sites, Quezon CityThis community-base health care service will give emphasis on the need to provide medical assistance to the national minority.

This event is our tie-up project with Department of Health, and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
